Ricky commenced his saddle career in Oct 2004. Even as a very green youngster he took the judges eye, winning many champs and reserves over much more educated ponies. He seemed to truly love the challenge of competing under saddle and improved rapidly.

2005 Hidden Valley Equestrian Championships - Runner Up Novice Large Pony
2005 Barastoc Horse of the Year - Top 12 Newcomer
2005 National Riding Pony of the Year - National Champion Newcomer Pony & National Champion Open Show Pony.
